Good, but not too good.

I bought this book to help me with my Hebrew grammar; I'm a learning student and thought it'd be great. But there were hundred of words I didn't know; even my Jewish Hebrew teacher said there were "miylim harbeh she-ani lo makirah!" (That is, "many words that I don't know.") Anyway, even though it didn't help me with my grammar, I would highly recommend it to practice reading with. Even though I didn't understand most of it, since Hebrew is a phonetic language, I could read it aloud and practice reading and speaking quickly.
If you want a book to help with grammar, I highly recommend the Hebrew Frog and Toad book. It's easy, with simple vocabulary, and a lot of fun.
The cover of the book is really pretty, and nice. Hardcover, and sturdy.

Buy it , it looks great and one reads it with pleasure

This is a second Hebrew translation of "The Little Prince". One has to compare this translation with with the former one to feel the difference. Aryeh Lerner's translation became a sort of a classic (it appeared in 1952 and has been re-edited many times). Ilana Hammerman's new translation appeared for the first time in 1993. There is 41 years gap between those two versions filled of course by many editions of Lerner's translation. The language changed, some words were replaced by others with the time passing. Besides, Lerner as a Ukraine born polyglot (since 1937 in Eretz Israel) left in his translation a trace of the original imitating the French syntax in many places. Israeli born, Ilana Hammerman's translation looks for me more modern, one reads the sentences with the feeling to stay in touch with modern contemporary Hebrew, still having a background of a tale. As a linguist (not a Hebrew speaker) interested in Semitic languages I would of course recommend both translations. For the people with a moderate knowledge of Hebrew the new edition has one advantage: the text is fully vocalized (even the chapters' numbers are given with words not with numerals). The book is beautiful: golden and blue Hebrew letter on the front cover, hard cover, the pictures of the author clear and properly placed, the print is clear, without any inferiority in the shape, and the letters are easy recognizable. I still keep Lerner's translation (I have unvocalized electronic version, so I cannot tell anything about other editions), but I prefer this translation.

Hilarious, weird, awesome stories.

Hilarious stories from a true comic genius. It's scary but I think my mind works in a similar way to Limmy's own twisted mind - he manages to write about those weird things that go on in your head but you dont really tell anyone about them because you can't put them into words, but somehow Limmy does it, and does it really well. If you like the TV show you will love this book. If you don't like the TV show because you can't understand the accents then you'll love this book! Please keep writing Limmy!! :)

I wish this were still in print

If you're in the natural health field, you really need to read this. It explains how everything got turned upside-down, and how natural healing became so uncommon. It is written by a man that wrote tons of books documenting history.

I'm not sure why he got on this path, but I'm glad he did. He tracks it all back to money, which of course, we still see today. It's a long book, with lots of boring details, but well worth trudging through. I know it's expensive to buy out-of-print books. But this is one it's worth coughing up the dough for.

Should Be In Print!

I read this book in the late 70's, and fully agree with T.M. Wish I could get it, without paying a fortune; (I did download a digital version but still want a hard copy for my library I'm trying to rebuild, from when I owned some very valuable pioneering works like this.) I agree that it is a little dry to wade through-(thought it was just me!)-but oh, if people only knew how all this drug madness evolved, it would light a fire under many to free themselves from the slavery to this dead-end therapy, and learn how health is actually restored and built in the body! (N.W. Walker's books would be a great resource, though "dated", for an intelligent person. I say this, not because his books are hard to understand, but due to the "dumbing down" of America in recent decades, and because of my familiarity with books published in the 70's, more than current ones.)

Great book!

This is a fantastic book and you should get yours while you can. We all need to know the truth about Western Medicine, who is involved and who they bought off to become a fake authority on health. If you connect the dots, it begins to get clear why health care is the way it is and no one gets healed. They just keep getting sicker and sicker as time goes by because you keep taking an unproved ACID for an ACID issue. These two negatives do not make an alkaline body. Do your research and if you are into Natural Health, Natural Healing, or you just want to know the truth; pick up a copy.

I bought the Earth Users Guide way back in 1994. It was at a time when I'd realised that there was much more to permaculture than making herb spirals and sheet mulch beds, and was desperately hungry to find out more. I'd borrowed Permaculture One and the Designers Manual from the library, but have to admit that as a newcomer didn't find them particularly approachable. Rosemary Morrow's book on the other hand was exactly what I was looking for, and I fondly remember hours spent pouring over its clearly written text, colour photos and the wealth of clear, simple yet beautiful diagrams and illustrations that made the book a visual treat. Drawing on her years of experience in Australia, Vietnam, Cambodia, India and Africa, Morrow communicated the essence of permaculture ethics, principles and design with enthusiasm, translating Holmgren and Mollison's heady but rather theoretical concepts to an accessible 'here's how to do it' approach. After giving an overview of ecological concepts such as understanding landscape, soil, water and climate, the book covered practical applications of permaculture in the home and garden as well as more broadscale areas of farming, aquacultures, orchard and forest management, finally looking at 'social permaculture' strategies such as LETS and bioregionalism. Together with Graham Bell's 'Permaculture Garden', I can honestly say this is a book that changed my life... Receiving this new edition was therefore like having a visit from an old friend, being able to spend a good few hours reminiscing and once again sharing their wisdom and inspiration. And as with meeting the best of our old mates, its great to learn that the Earth Users Guide has moved on and grown. In fact its been completely revised and updated to almost twice its original size! And best of all, there are loads more new pictures! Terrible Representation of Permaculture

I have read quite a few different permaculture books and this was, by far, the worst one. The book never establishes a solid outline or direction and is constantly jumping from one topic to the next. Instead of explaining the principles of permaculture in such a way that gives the reader the knowledge to apply what he/she has read, the author chooses to instruct the readers to perform somewhat futile tasks. For example, the author dedicates nearly an entire chapter on how to conduct a water audit for you or your family. While a water audit can sometimes be a useful tool in the "permaculture toolbelt", it should not be the focal or starting point for every property or personal situation like the author would like you to believe.

This book contains so many politically-biased, inaccurate statements it made my head want to explode. Unfortunately, it is these kinds of publications that are holding permaculture back from gaining widespread acceptance. Permaculture can dictate politics but politics should never dictate permaculture. More government regulations (carbon taxes, etc.) are the antithesis of permaculture. This book takes the ethics of permaculture and twists them to meet a certain political goal.

It is also impossible to look any particular topic up in this book since the index is less than a full page long. This book reads like a school textbook, so to have such a small index is terrible book planning.

Please, do NOT waste your money on this book!

Gaia's Garden or Sepp Holzer's Permaculture would be FAR better choices!!

Get it; you won't regret it

This book is pretty much all you need to know to joyfully and abundantly reduce your carbon footprint and increase your food security and self sufficiency. Once the initial learning curve and setup are done, it all pretty much runs itself, so your life ends up being more Earth-friendly and easier to maintain. And, by the way, this is not just about growing a garden and having chickens; it applies to literally every area of your life from building or buying a home to your work and social life and everything in between. The book can streamline your life whether you live on a commercial farm or in a tiny apartment. If you feel you never have enough money or time, this book can help you have more of both. The principles are applicable to a small family as well as an entire community (or world).

Perfect for beginners

Everything you need to start your permaculture journey. This was the assigned textbook for a permaculture class I attended and I only wish I'd found it sooner. It was written in Australia so many references are to that zone but the information is relevant to all zones and the simple pictures drive home concepts well. If you're looking for the basics, this is a great place to begin with all of the concepts, exercises, and applicable info.

4.5 stars - a fascinating story

Having just finished this, I must say that I'm sort of speechless. I'm not exactly sure what to say about this book. However, it's been a long time since I've felt the desire to stick with a story in one go and even longer since I've finished a book this long (82k+) in only a day.

With that said, there are a lot of warnings that should come with this book. For one, there is no romance in this one. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to even call it a gay novel because the main character is more asexual than anything. There are 'suggestions' and 'impressions' that this could turn into a gay romance but that could also be taken as the MCs just getting violent. But to those readers thinking they're picking up a young adult, new adult, whatever you want to call it, romance, you'll be sadly disappointed.

That out of the way, I'm extremely glad I read this. It might not be romance or m/m but I adored the characters and the journey I took with them. They're intense to say the least, psychotic and likely to fly off the handle bars but there was something about them that made me want to continue reading and find out where things were going. While I wouldn't say there's a huge cast of characters, there are more than the typical couple and a few side characters. The main contenders here are three guys: Neil, Andrew and Kevin. Neil is an asexual (kinda) who just wants to play Exy (which is like a sport that mixes lacrosse and ice hockey). He's a frightened kid but knows how crucial it is to lie low for fear of his father discovering where he is. Kevin is difficult to explain. He's mean and criticizes everything about Neil but at the same time, he's this lost soul who's been dealt just as crappy a hand as Neil has. Andrew is... psychotic. It's the only way to describe him. I don't understand how he became this way but he's got nothing to lose and he acts on that. He's five foot nothing but he's not afraid of staring down giants. He's amazing but scary and willing to keep everyone who he deems 'family' safe and right now that is Kevin.

The story follows Neil along as he gets accustomed to living in such an open place and playing the sport he loves. Immediately he has issues with Andrew and his gang (who are Neil's teammates) that makes his life difficult but he loves Exy enough to put up with the hostility from everyone. It's about the trials that Neil has to go through, the panic and fear he always has about being found out and being hunted again and the consequences he has to deal with when he makes his decisions regarding whether to stay or to run.

The only thing I didn't like about this book (aside from the lack of m/m romance, of course!) was how confused I was at times. The beginning will be hard to get through for some people because you're left wondering what is going on. You don't get the full back story for Neil or Kevin or even Andrew that really makes sense until well into the book so you're left wondering and probably saying WTF multiple times.

I feel that I should warn readers that this isn't exactly about the mafia either. While there's an undertone of it and even the threat of a yakuza pride descending on Neil and Kevin, it's not actually shown or very prominent in the story. Given that, I didn't much mind this because I felt like the whole book was focusing on second chances and Neil finally living a life, finding a home and standing up to his past. To do that, he needs Andrew and Andrew is willing to help him because of Kevin. It sort of seems like a love triangle but, like I said, this isn't romance. It is more of a bonding between these characters over a common issue.

To be honest, it's hard to explain this whole book because so much happens and is revealed that would spoiler the whole story if told. So, I'm going to leave it here. I enjoyed the novel. It has its issues but I found the whole thing fascinating and couldn't put the book down once I started. I liked that it wasn't saturated in sex but focused on such broken, and in Andrew's case, frightening characters. These characters are misfits, pure and simple and their attitudes and aggressions show that. It's a book of deceit, loyalty, dangerous situations and trust. It's not your traditional story but a gripping tale nonetheless and I'm really looking forward to seeing where the series goes from here and seriously how there's some m/m romance in the near future for Neil and Andrew!!

Seriously, if you want originality, flawed awesome characters, suspense... you have to read this one.

Initially, skeptical after lately reading writers who barely could sustain my attention. I was caught off guard on this one. Usually, an author starts out well and finishes poorly or somewhere in between. Nora Sakavic has the uncanny talent to not let up and keep you totally absorbed in her simple yet complex tale.

Now, this is the type of work that goes beyond just a yarn about love interests. It delves deeply into various characters, damaged lives, malignant forces and unanswered questions . There's a connection with her creations. For me , this is a sign of a great writer who enchants the reader. I believe this author is on the level of writers such as TJ Klune, Scott Sherman, C.S Pacat. Admittedly, the genre is different but the ability to thoroughly engage the reader is the key.

Look , this is just a good story. It does have a gay character and questions about our main protagonist's preferences. However, it's not the primary story line. Don't look for erotic interludes here. However, if you are really looking for an entertaining, absorbing, suspenseful work look no further. Really, I doubt you will regret reading this one. I'm on my way to the next book. BTW some things are great even though inexpensive.

Love this intricate story - rare five star review

As I write this review, I've just finished the first two books of the ALL FOR THE GAME trilogy - and they're both excellent. Main and sub-characters are extremely well developed, and continue to grow through the series.

This is a story about a varied group of young adults (college age) who had somewhat (to horrifically) broken childhoods. They're misfits who are brought together through a sport, while continuing to encounter setbacks. As the relationships between the characters evolve, we slowly learn more about their past and how it has brought them to where they are.

The first two books contain several gay characters, but no M/M romance and no erotica of any type.

The two initial books are full-sized novels; presumably the third will be as well:

The final book in the trilogy, The King's Men, is expected to be released in January, 2014 (according to a blog post by the author on Nov 15, 2013). These are not standalone books - readers will want to read them all, in order.

I complain a lot about eBook prices; this may be the first time I've ever suggested a price.increase. I purchased book one for free, and book two for $0.99. This seems too low given the high quality of the writing and story. Perhaps maintain the free price for book one, but sell books 2 and 3 for $3.99 or $4.99. I would happily pay that amount in return for this author's fine work.
